Unless otherwise noted, the Rules on this website supersede any rules from all other sources.
Rules and Etiquette
These rules are important across all channels, sites, sessions, and any Soulforged venue.
- No Offensive Content
- Avoid sending messages or sharing images that could be deemed offensive. This includes anything graphic, sexual, or frightening.
- Respect for DMs and Players
- Treat everyone, both DMs and fellow players, with respect—both in and out of the game. Let’s maintain a civil atmosphere for everyone to enjoy their fantasy experience.
- No Cheating
- Cheating is a no-go. Keep track of your downtime, inventory, gold, and stats accurately. We do monitor these, and purposeful cheating will result in removal from the server.
- No Spam
- Spamming is a nuisance. This includes loud noises in voice, @mention spam, excessive character or image spam, and unnecessary messages in RP channels. You’ll get a warning first, then a mute if it persists. Continued violations may lead to removal from the server.
- No Harassment
- Harassment, including sexual harassment or encouragement of bullying, will not be tolerated. Any such behavior will result in removal from both the server and SCAR. No warning may be given, depending on the severity.
- No Minors
- Our apologies to younger individuals, but we’re an 18+ server with a PG13 rating. Only adults aged 18 and above are permitted.
Guidelines for Game Sessions
To ensure a more enjoyable and smoother gameplay experience, we’ve outlined some expectations and rules for our game sessions.
- No Meta-Gaming: When the party is in initiative, only talk on your turn for comments related to the encounter. This helps avoid meta-gaming, talking over each other, and ensures a streamlined experience. We have a dedicated text channel for jokes and memes during sessions, keeping them out of the in-game chat.
- Be Punctual: Players should be logged into Roll20, Discord, and on voice chat before the scheduled quest start time. If you’re late, you might be replaced by a standby player. Chronic lateness could affect your chances of being selected for quests. We value everyone’s time and strive for punctuality.
- Defer to the Dungeon Master: If a rule or action is questioned during a session, defer to the Dungeon Master’s final decision to keep the game flowing smoothly. Detailed discussions can be held after the game to address concerns, but during the session, we aim to avoid derailing with excessive rule discussions.
