Your character can improve their standing within a faction by succeeding in missions that relate to or are assigned by that faction. In a given adventure, or even between them, consider the factions that your character represents. Their faction might ask them to assassinate a crime lord, protect an innocent merchant caught in a crossfire, save a kidnapped child, deliver an important letter, foil an assassination, recover a stolen relic, or locate a letter of marque. Whatever the mission, a positive outcome earns your character Reputation Points (RP).
In addition to missions, your character can perform downtime activities to further increase their reputation with factions. This might include gathering information, forging alliances, or engaging in tasks that benefit the faction’s interests.
As your character’s reputation increases, their faction rewards their excellent service with greater and greater boons.
