Ability: Rustic Hospitality

After spending an hour demonstrating you are one of the common folk and succeeding on a medium-DC Charisma (Persuasion) check, you seamlessly blend in among them. You can easily find shelter, rest, or aid among other commoners, unless you have proven yourself to be a danger to them. They will shield you from the law or any pursuers, though they won’t risk their lives for you.

Rank 1 – Local Hero

You are the pride of your village, known for your bravery and selflessness in defending the common folk from threats. Born and raised among the commoners, you have earned their admiration and trust through your heroic deeds.

Holdings:

• Support and loyalty from the villagers who see you as their champion allowing you to perform /pc-profession to advance your career.

Progression: Embark on a journey to confront greater threats beyond your village and prove yourself as a hero on a larger scale.

• Win the hearts of 1,200 people.

Rank 2 – Protector of the People

Your reputation as a folk hero has spread beyond your village, as you continue to defend the common folk from oppression and injustice. You are revered as a protector of the people, known for your courage and willingness to stand up against tyranny.

Holdings:

• Recognition and support from neighboring villages and communities.
  • Advantage on Charisma checks when dealing with these peoples.
• A network of allies and sympathizers who share your cause.
  • Grants a +1 bonus to your Charisma proficiency bonus when performing your profession.

Progression: Lead efforts to organize resistance against tyrants and oppressors, rallying the common folk to fight for their rights.

• Win the hearts of 2,400 people.

Rank 3 – Champion of the Masses

You have become a symbol of hope and resilience for the common folk, inspiring others to rise up against injustice. Your heroic exploits have earned you widespread acclaim, with tales of your courage spreading far and wide.

Holdings:

• Influence over regional politics and affairs, as leaders seek your counsel and support.
• A loyal band of followers and supporters who stand by your side in times of need.
  • Grants a +1 bonus to your Charisma proficiency bonus when performing your profession. Stacks with prior rank (+2 total).
