Exile

The ill-fated path of exile befalls those who are shunned by society, often the disliked Anireth, in an era of distrust and restlessness prevalent during the Lunar Age. Banishment to the desolate wastelands of Faerun is a fate reserved for criminals and nonconformists, where the eternal darkness swallows them whole, leaving behind only whispers of their existence. Exiles embark on a perilous journey in search of acceptance, yet many vanish into the abyss, consumed by the horrors of the outside world.

Even in slumber, your senses remain vigilant, granting you Advantage in Passive Perception to avoid being surprised while you sleep.

Rank 1 – Wanderer

Cast out from society, you wander the desolate wastelands of Faerun, searching for a place to belong. Alone in the darkness, you navigate the harsh landscape, driven by a relentless desire to find sanctuary.

Holdings:

  • Knowledge of hidden shelters and safe havens scattered throughout the wasteland allowing you to perform /pc-profession to advance your career.

Progression: Survive the dangers of the wasteland and discover potential allies or settlements willing to offer refuge.

  • Wander for a total of 1,200 miles in search of home.

Rank 2 – Survivor

You have proven your resilience in the face of exile, forging a path through the unforgiving wilderness. Despite the solitude and hardship, you persevere, honing your survival skills and adapting to the harsh environment.

Holdings:

  • A network of contacts and informants among other outcasts and nomads.

Progression: Establish yourself as a respected figure among outcasts, gaining access to valuable resources and knowledge.

  • Wander for a total of 2,400 miles in search of home.

Rank 3 – Fate Touched

As a seasoned wanderer, you roam the wastelands with purpose, seeking redemption or a new beginning. Your experiences have shaped you into a skilled tracker and survivor, capable of thriving in the most hostile environments.

Holdings:

  • Mastery of survival techniques and knowledge of the land’s secrets.
    • Any Survival check is made with advantage (if GM deems appropriate).

Progression: Forge alliances with other exiles and outcasts, forming a formidable force in the wastelands.

  • Wander for a total of 4,800 miles in search of home.

Rank 4 – Vanguard

You have transcended your status as an exile, becoming a leader and protector of those who wander the desolate wastes. Revered by fellow outcasts, you stand as a beacon of hope in the darkness, guiding others towards redemption and sanctuary.

Holdings:

  • Leadership of a band of nomads or outcasts, united under your banner.
    • Any Adventuring Company you are a part of or join gains 4d4 Hirelings of a CR equal to the maximum hireling CR granted by the Adventuring Company.
