Those who practice archaeology travel to the far corners of the world to root through crumbled cities and lost dungeons, digging in search of artifacts that might tell the stories of monarchs and high priests, wars and cataclysms.

You’ve devoted your career to the museum, immersing yourself in the nuances of every cultural artifact within its walls. Under the mentorship of the museum’s head scholar, you’ve evolved into a respected academic in your own right.
Holdings:
- A desk within a library, college or museum, with access to common resources allowing you to perform /pc-profession to advance your career.
- Desk can store up to 50lbs of items. (Chronica container)
Progression:
- Acquire a small collection of valuable antiquities, which fellow archeologists acknowledge.
- Items totaling a value of 1,200 platinum.
Rank 2 – Adept Collector
As an Adept Collector, you’ve begun your journey into the world of academia, delving into the mysteries of ancient artifacts.
Holdings:
- A quaint office to display and store your antiquities in.
- Office can store up to 1,000lbs of items. (Chronica container)
- A hireling scholar who tends to your collection and undertakes research for you.
- Grants a +1 bonus to your Intelligence proficiency bonus when performing your profession.
Progression:
- To advance in this profession, you must expand your collection, diversifying subjects, and securing a more substantial gallery for display.
- A total collection value of 2,400 platinum.
Rank 3 – Senior Professor
Now esteemed in academia, you’ve dedicated yourself to uncovering the secrets hidden within each artifact, captivating students from around the world with your expertise.
Holdings:
- An extravagant gallery that displays and protects your collections.
- A “shop” in Chronica to put all your antiquities “on display”.
- Limited to Common, Uncommon and Rare wondrous items only.
- A team of assistants and scholars who attend to the collections, conduct research, and explore the world to find more antiquities.
- Grants a +1 bonus to your Intelligence proficiency bonus when performing your profession. Stacks with prior rank (+2 total).
Progression:
- To further your career, you must establish a renowned museum, boasting comprehensive collections spanning diverse subjects and eras. Additionally, you must contribute significant findings to academic knowledge and be recognized as an authority in your field.
- A total collection value of 4,800 platinum.
Rank 4 – Curator
As one of the foremost antiquarians of your time, you’re celebrated for your scholarly contributions and revered as an expert curator, drawing visitors from far and wide to behold your museum’s wonders.
Holdings:
- A great museum, with collections that draw monarchs and common folk alike, inspiring wonder and awe.
- A “shop” in Chronica to put all your antiquities “on display”.
- Allows all wondrous items.
- Limited to Uncommon and Rare items only.
- A dedicated team of antiquarians that manage your collections and museum, scouring the world for relics that would make fine additions to your impressive array.
- When using Insightful Discovery, you roll with advantage. If you are using Insightful Discovery in your home academic institution, you automatically succeed.
- In addition, you can use Insightful Discover on artifacts now (though you must still make a check as you cannot automatically succeed)
